All of them was born after 1989 the end of all the revolutions.。艾利克斯（迈克尔·道格拉斯 Michael Douglas 饰）出生在一个非常古老而又兴旺的大家族中，他的父亲名叫米奇（柯克·道格拉斯 Kirk Douglas 饰），是一个脾气非常暴躁而又古怪的老头，长年以来，艾利克斯和米奇之间的父子关系都非常的恶劣。 艾利克斯有两个儿子艾力（罗瑞·卡尔金 Rory Culkin 饰）和阿什（卡梅隆·道格拉斯 Cameron Douglas 饰），其中，阿什正值青春期，满身都是逆反的情绪，满脑子里想着的只有毒品、摇滚和性。虽然艾利克斯不希望自己和阿什之间的关系向他和他父亲那样的糟糕，但大部分时候，艾利克斯并不知道该如何去应对阿什频发的特殊状况。。
